James E. Foley, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer
Jim's career in the pharmaceutical industry began in 1977 at the Squibb Institute of Medical Research (E. R. Squibb and Sons). In 1989, he joined the Department of Licensing and Business Analysis at Squibb and relocated to Tokyo to further establish the company's worldwide pharmaceutical licensing activities in Japan and relationships with Japanese R&D--based pharmaceutical companies. Jim joined SmithKline Beecham's Worldwide Business Development Team in 1991 as Vice President and Director, Business Development--Japan/Asia, and remained based in Tokyo, representing the company's worldwide licensing interests in Japan, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand. He returned to the United States in 1995, where he continued his responsibilities based in Philadelphia. In 2002, Jim re-joined Bristol-Myers Squibb as Vice President, Business Development- Japan/International, focused on the identification of strategic R&D collaboration and product licensing opportunities from the Japan, Asia, and Australia/New Zealand region.
Jim has served as a Trustee of St. Peter's School, Philadelphia, and the Boards of Directors of Sosei and Company (Tokyo), Traxion (Baltimore), the Japan-America Society of Greater Philadelphia and the New York Pharma Forum. He also serves on the Advisory Boards of the Taub School of Business (St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia), the Marshall School of Business Global BioBusiness Initiative (University of Southern California), and Sc Capital I (University City Science Center, Philadelphia). Jim co-chairs the Philadelphia-Japan Health Sciences Dialogue, an annual meeting held in Philadelphia addressing healthcare issues/solutions in the United States and Japan. A member of the Licensing Executives Society, Jim was honored by the organization at its 2004 annual meeting with the presentation of the Frank Barnes Mentorship Award. Jim holds a Ph.D. in Physiology from Thomas Jefferson University College of Graduate Studies. He received a B.A. in Biology and Chemistry from Rutgers University. He was a NIH Post-Doctoral Fellow from 1975 to 1977 in the Department of Pharmacology, Tulane University School of Medicine.

Sukwoo (Jeffrey) Oh, J.D., Executive Vice President, Business Operations
Jeff was formerly a Managing Director of Roberts Mitani, LLC, and has worked extensively with pharmaceutical companies, advising on commercial development, long-term strategies, corporate restructuring, and addressing corporate financial matters. He also advised several U.S. biotech companies on strategic corporate alliances and raising capital from corporate partners, financial companies, and selected non-healthcare technology companies. Prior to joining Roberts Mitani, Jeff practiced corporate law with Bryan, Levitin & Bab, and was a general counsel to Exim America, Co., Smart Saver, Co., and Pulmuwon USA, Inc. Jeff received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Northridge and his J.D. degree from University of Notre Dame Law School.

Hahn-Jun Lee, Ph.D. Director of Research
Hahn-Jun has extensive expertise in the fields of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and cancer research, with special emphasis on the function of proteases, with over 20 peer-reviewed publications. Hahn-Jun obtained his B.S degree in biology at Sogang University in Korea. He subsequently moved to Japan, where he completed his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biotechnology at the University of Tokyo under the supervision of Professor Koichi Suzuki, a world-class expert in the field of calpain research. During his Ph.D., Hahn-Jun identified calpain 9, a tumor suppressor involved in stomach cancer, and was the recipient of a Rotary Onekama Memorial Foundation Scholarship. He was also awarded a scholarship commemorating the 100th anniversary of the University's Department of Agricultural Chemistry. After completing his Ph.D., Hahn-Jun joined the RIKEN Brain Science Institute in Japan as a research scientist in the Laboratory for Proteolysis Neuroscience (Dr. Takaomi C. Saido) studying amyloid-beta degradation for three years. He subsequently moved to the United States to continue his studies on different aspects of Alzheimer's disease with Dr. Tae-Wan Kim in the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. In 2004, Hahn-Jun was appointed an Assistant Professor of Biotechnology in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Columbia University.
